Documentary Information

HISTORY – "Taken For Granted" is a feature length documentary that the family of Grant Hileman began working on in 2023 after Grant's tragic suicide. Grant's friends and family volunteered their time and expertise to the making of this film over a two year period, even traveling to NYC, Boston, and Washington DC for answers about the problems in the mental health care system. They are now in the post production phase, working hard to review the filmed footage, sift through old family tapes, and begin editing the film. All of this work is being done in association with the nonprofit organization created in honor of Grant called Grant Me Tomorrow. "Taken For Granted"  will be submitted to film festivals, as well as shown to schools and the medical community in hopes of promoting mental health advocacy.

FUNDING – "Taken For Granted" is well on it's way to completion, having already finished production. However, $100,000 is still needed for post-production expenses. These funds will be applied to editing, sound design, a music score, a color grader, marketing, film festival submission fees and travel, as well as the replenishing of some production expenses. Additionally, any unused funds will go directly to the mental health advocacy campaign we are creating through the Grant Me Tomorrow Foundation.
