We believe education about both mental health wellness and mental health disorders is an essential component to granting each individual the hope for a tomorrow in which they can thrive, not just survive. We are dedicated to educating K-12 students, college students, and their support systems about how to take the initiative to become mental health allies. We aim to equip both young and old alike with the skills needed to open up to others about challenges they face, as well as how to respond and support someone if they reveal those challenges. One crucial aspect of our mission promotes an on-going conversation about mental health issues that likely affect at least one person in all of our lives, whether we realize it or not.
We are striving to publicly address the necessity for vastly improved access to swift, effective mental healthcare in all communities by bringing attention to the need for a mental health "safety net" for individuals in crisis or who are in need of more immediate mental health medical care. Often, those who are seeking mental health treatment are faced with a daunting search for a therapist, psychiatrist, or mental health provider, followed by a significant wait time. Furthermore, we are advocating for more thorough, compassionate mental health practitioners who require that their office staff meet their same standards.
We believe in the power of open communication about mental health needs among families, schools, friend groups, and other communities, both large and small, in order to break the stigma attached to the issue of needing mental health treatment. We're actively reaching out to a wide variety of groups and organizations to discuss the urgent need for mental health reform, which includes the encouragement of open communication between those who are receiving mental health treatment, as well as those who are not. We strongly advocate for individuals to learn to speak openly and in support of one another regarding mental health issues and concerns. Ultimately, it is our belief that eliminating the shame and stigma that is attached to having personal mental health needs can be greatly decreased, if not eliminated, when secrecy about those mental health needs is no longer required due to the unconditional support that individuals who struggle would receive.

At GRANT ME TOMORROW, our mission is educate the public about the various levels of mental health challenges that people face, attempt to erase the stigma in our society that keeps people from seeking treatment, advocate for robust reform and improvement within mental healthcare systems, and promote proactive suicide prevention through student education and public outreach.
Founded in 2023, GRANT ME TOMORROW was established after the tragic passing on February 1, 2023 of Grant Hileman, who lost his 20 year battle with mental health struggles after taking his life in his family's home. Our organization was established to address the urgent need for improved access to treatment in the mental health community, as well as the urgent need for a better understanding of mental health issues in an effort to eliminate the social stigma that often contributes to individuals facing losing hope and heading toward crisis.
Our team is made up of Grant Hileman's immediate family members who are dedicated to and passionate about advocating for mental health changes, whether it be in the form of access to quicker treatment, open dialogue about mental health, or proactive education about the realities of this complicated and difficult topic. From our volunteers, who were Grant's closest friends and extended family members, to our board members, every person at GRANT ME TOMORROW is committed to our mission of dramatically improving the growing mental health crisis we are seeing nationally.
